Our rooms are legendary. For over 75 years, Hotel Alex Johnson has welcomed travelers from around the world, including celebrities, dignitaries and families. Today, your guests can experience our tradition of hospitality in anyone of our 143 (authentically renovated) guest rooms. Hand-crafted replicas of Alex Johnson's original furnishings feature carefully chosen Lakota Sioux themes.
Bridal Suite
The bridal suite is available as a package with sparkling wine and breakfast in bed.
Newly remodeled, the Bridal Suite is complete with a romantic Jacuzzi, Victorian styled cherry wood furniture, including a four poster bed, and a dining table for two.
Presidential Suite
The six room presidential suite offers an excellent view of Rapid City from the ninth floor of the Hotel.
Named for the presidents who have stayed here (Eisenhower, Coolidge, Roosevelt, Nixon and Bush), the presidential suite boasts two bedrooms, a dining room, living room kitchen and an office.
