Information For Prospective Competitors
Compete in the Black Hills Chili Bowl and show us you’re the best chili enthusiast in the Black Hills. Each participant is allowed to enter 1 category or both categories to be judged. The fans will decide your fate with People’s Choice Voting in the Best Heat and Best Flavor categories, while judges will decide who earns the Best Overall Chili title.
Top Prize Winner in Each People’s Choice Category: $500 Cash + Black Hills Chili Bowl Trophy
Runner-Up in Each People’s Choice Category: $250 Cash
Best Overall Chili Winner: $750 + Black Hills Chili Bowl Chili
You must prepare enough chili for 200 Guests per category entered.

Space is limited! If you are interested in being one of our featured vendors, please register by November 10, 2026, to secure your spot. Any questions can be directed to tylerharris@livhotelgroup.com. We are planning to host at least 200 Guests and our participants will be informed prior to the event of our approximate attendance so they can plan accordingly. Maximum of 2 representatives per vendor.
