Become A Member

Become a member of the private club atop the tallest building in downtown Rapid City — Hotel Alex Johnson. An annual membership to Vertex provides exclusive access to the club and the exquisite view of the Black Hills. Members are allowed to bring as many guests as they would like, but must be accompanied by the club member.

Individual Membership

$250 per year plus tax

Corporate Membership

Discount includes five individual memberships for the price of four | $1,000 per year plus tax

Club Rules

  • Member must be at least 21 years of age
  • All members and guests must be 21 years of age when consuming alcoholic beverages at any Black Hills Hospitality property
  • All membership applications will be reviewed by the membership board. The membership board reserves all rights to approve or deny membership applications.
  • As Vertex is a Private Club, we do suggest a dress code of business casual
  • Payment is due immediately upon signing the contract. We accept cash, check, or credit card
  • Upon completion of application and payment of dues, a membership card will be issued
  • If the membership board denies your application, you will be refunded the membership fee by check
  • Management retains the exclusive right to revoke membership if it is deemed the relationship is not beneficial to either or both parties, if the membership is abused in any way, or if actions by a member are deemed inappropriate or distasteful to other members, staff, or management
  • Membership is good for one year from membership application approval date
  • You may bring as many guests as you like to Vertex, but the member must always accompany the guests
  • Memberships are not transferable
  • A photo ID will be required in addition to your Vertex Membership Card for all discounts

 

*For your convenience, your annual individual membership fee of $250, plus tax or your annual corporate membership fee of $1,000 plus tax will be automatically charged to your credit card on your anniversary date. If you would like to cancel your membership, we require 30 days written notice prior to your anniversary date. Members must be 21 years of age or older. Management reserves all rights to revoke membership if abused in any way, or if actions by a member are deemed inappropriate or distasteful. Memberships are good for one year from approval date. When bringing guests, member must always accompany their guests. By submitting a request, you agree to the terms and conditions as outlined in the membership agreement.
